'Grey's Anatomy's' Jessica Capshaw Pregnant: Will Dr. Robbins Be Expecting on the Show?
Jessica Capshaw is pregnant with her fourth child, announcing her happy news with a cute photo of her family on Instagram. The 39-year-old actress plays the role of Arizona Robbins on Grey's Anatomy. Capshaw's pregnancy should be an interesting storyline on the hospital drama, after her character Dr. Robbins suffered a miscarriage in Season 11 of the show.
Capshaw's pregnancy announcement photo on social media shows her husband Christopher Gavigan, the co-founder of The Honest Company with Jessica Alba, along with their kids getting a Christmas tree.
The couple are already parents to three children – Luke, 7, Eve, 4, and Poppy, age 3.
Capshaw spoke about how she balanced being an actress and a mom in an interview with Good Housekeeping in 2011.
She said, "I love what I do and I think it shows. As my kids get older, they can see me as a mom who loves working," she said at the time. When asked what three words describe her as a parent, she replied: "Consistent, fun, [and] patient."
Capshaw talked to People magazine last year about her third child, Poppy, admitting her daughter had been throwing tantrums.
The actress explained, "[She] is experiencing a reckoning of being two that my other two did not have. So I feel very grateful that she’s my third so I have the wisdom and experience to know it’s all fine and will pass."
Grey's Anatomy returns to television on ABC on Feb. 11.
