Marque 'Tate’ Lynche Dead: Former Disney Mouseketeer Discovered by Roommate
It is never pleasant reporting on sad news like what we must relate to you today. We just learned that former Disney The All New Mickey Mouse Club Mouseketeer star, Marque "Tate" Lynche was discovered dead by his own roommate.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the 34-year-old singer was found dead in his New York City apartment, the New York Police Department revealed. Lynche's body was discovered by his roommate around 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Police are still investigating Lynche's death as the medical examiner works to find out the cause of his death.
Lynche was a former cast member of The All New Mickey Mouse Club. He starred alongside, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Ryan Gosling in the 90s. Lynche was also a contestant on season three of American Idol. In 2004, Lynche was eliminated before the top 12 of that season of American Idol. Fantasia Barrino won during that season.
Friend, and former castmate, Dale Godboldo confirmed the passing of his friend, posting to Facebook that he had recently spoke to Lynche. "I spoke with Marque a few months ago, and his spirit was as beautiful as ever. Love and prayers to your family. RIP my man. You will be missed," he wrote.
The MMC page also posted photos of their former star and wrote, "It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to one of our family. Our Always In The Club brother, Marque Tate Lynche, passed away this weekend. We are absolutely devastated by this tragic news. Our prayers and condolences go out to his brother Michael Lynche, his entire family and all of his friends. RIP sweet soul, you will be greatly missed."

According to New York Daily News, Lynche's death was considered suspicious. The police revealed that there wasn't a note, or pills found at Lynche's Harlem apartment.
After his Mickey Mouse days, Lynche performed as Simba in The Lion King on Broadway and also as Tyrone in Fame.
