VH1's 'Mob Wives' Season 6 Will Be The Last Stand, Show Creator Jennifer Graziano Says Goodbye

The official season six of VH1's Mob Wives will begin airing on Jan. 13 with the original cast members Renee Graziano, Karen Gravano, Drita D'Avanzo, Carla Facciolo and breakout star, Big Ang. What is shocking to some is that VH1 released a statement on Dec. 7, saying that this is the end of the road for the reality show and that Mob Wives:The Last Stand will be the last season due to the show being cancelled!

The senior vice president of East Coast Production & Development, Nina L. Diazs' statement says,"We're proud to have partnered with Jennifer Graziano, The Weinstein Company, Electus and Left/Right Productions on this groundbreaking franchise and thank everyone involved who helped deliver six riveting seasons to VH1 viewers. Our deepest appreciation goes to all of our beloved cast members and especially our 'OG's' Renee Graziano, Drita D'Avanzo, Karen Gravano, Big Ang Raiola and Carla Facciolo who bravely opened up every aspect of their lives each season to give us unprecedented access into their secret worlds and trusted us to tell their unbelievably compelling personal stories. We cannot wait to share the most epic season yet with their fans."

The two new additions to the cast, Brittany Fogarty and Marissa Fiore, will get a chance to explore their mob ties with Staten Island's original cast. Eonline reports that Brittany, the daughter of notorious gangster John Fogarty "returned to the East Coast to be closer to family and Marissa is described as a newbie to the mafioso lifestyle, she has a boyfriend named Jamie "Oz" Lansburg, who's recently released from prison. Nothing much about the girls has been mentioned, thus far.

But the boss has finally spoken. The creator and executive producer, Jennifer Graziano stated, "It was my pleasure to work so closely with people I grew up with and called family (and actually family). Not many people are afforded the opportunity to do what they love with people they love. My gratitude to VH1, The Weinstein Company, Electus, and Left/Right for an amazing show and journey we all took together. Cheers to the future for all!"

The Christian Post reported an insider close to the production company revealed that Renee has been physically ill since the beginning of production and had announced that she'd "step away from the show right now." Mstars News previously reported about the star's health concerns during filming. Perhaps the drama was to much for the network or maybe Graziano simply want to move on.

Best of luck to the ladies on future endeavors, we hope their final season goes out with a bang!
