Justin Bieber has had a ludicrously rough week. After being thrown out of a London nightclub for allegedly trying to sneak Jaden Smith in, he collapsed on stage in the middle of a performance at London's 02 arena. After that, he lunged at a paparazzo and canceled a Lsibon show due to...well, noone really knows why.And the media has been there every step of the way, reveling in every mistake and misstep. Who can Justin turn to, in this, his time of need?

Apparently, John Darnielle, lead singer of the Mountain Goats and (potentially, maybe, please?) America's future poet laureate.

Darnielle took to Vimeo in defense of the troubled Canadian pop star with a simple message for the people discussing Bieber's supposed fall from grace, "Don't Be an A**Hole."

The song has a bit of a rocky start with the line "Now on the one hand, it's hard to feel sorry for the very rich."  However, Darnielle quickly uses his legendary lyricism to garner up some empathy for the much-hated Bieber.

"Even a rich guy needs some space / And should be able to get to his car without people getting all up in his face / and getting on his case," Darnielle sings, referring to the aforementioned incident with a papparazzo.

Darnielle concludes the song with the clear-cut message that gives the song it's name.

"You don't have to leave Justin alone, but don't be an asshole," Darnielle says.

Check out the entire video below. It's worth a listen.

What do you think? Can you think of a more unlikely Bieber ally? Should the media lay off of the young star a bit? Are people enjoying Bieber's objectively terrible week a bit too much?
