Selena Gomez to 'Take Justin Bieber Back' if 'Spring Breakers' Flops? Starlet 'Loves Fame' Associated with Ex-Beau, Low Self-Esteem Might Influence Reconciliation
Recent gossip reports claim that if Selena Gomez's upcoming teen thriller "Spring Breakers" flops in theaters, she'll have no problem running back into the arms of ex-beau, Justin Bieber. Apparently, the former Disney starlet loved the nonstop fame associated with the "Believe" pop megastar - if her new film tanks, Gomez's low self-esteem could ultimately influence her to take the Biebs back. According to an alleged Hollywood Life inside source, "If it fails, she would do anything to get back to the level where she is now." Really?!
A seedy Hollywood Life report starts off with the claim, "Selena Gomez has looked totally over her ex Justin Bieber lately, but is it really over?" Apparently if "Spring Breakers" totally bombs, it's not! A source supposedly close to Gomez insists that the 20-year-old beauty might fall back on the uber-famous Bieber for an ego-boost if the film flops - "Selena loved being in the celebrity scene when she was with Justin, it was just a completely different level... If ['Spring Breakers'] fails, she would do anything to get back to the level where she is now."
The source alleges that if this new sexy film (that already has such high-expectations) does indeed prove unsuccessful, it's "back to the drawing board" for the "Wizards of Waverly Place" starlet. And in turn, that could lead back to a reconciliation with the "Beauty and the Beat" crooner.
This all sounds a little too vague and shady... both stars have apparently moved on from their highly-publicized break up back in January. And even if "Spring Breakers" does flop, Gomez can fall back on her music... in fact, she already has. The Selena Gomez & the Scene songstress was recently spotted out in the California desert filming a steamy photo shoot for an upcoming music video (where she almost fell victim to the infamous celebrity nip-slip!). Such ridiculous claims seemed to have been pulled out of thin air to stir up some Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez drama... drama which doesn't even truly exist.
Still, Hollywood Life continues to embellish such claims:
And it makes sense — ever since Selena and Justin split she has been the one on top. Justin has struggled and at times seemed desperate, while Selena has looked hotter and more confident than ever. If that dynamic changes, who knows how Selena will be feeling! Maybe her whirlwind Spring Breakers trip has let her avoid actually getting over her breakup — what if she has to face the music?
"Spring Breakers" hasn't even been released yet and Gomez is already being set up to fail, just for the sake of some Justin Bieber gossip!
A (legit) source close to Gomez confirms to Gossip Cop that such reports are "way off base." Gomez is doing just fine without the Biebs, and isn't anticipating any reconciliation because her new movie might "flop."
For those interested, "Spring Breakers" is set to hit theaters March 29. We'll wait until THEN to decide if the film is a total bust.
