Shah Rukh Khan to Play Walter White in Movie Adaptation of 'Breaking Bad'? [VIDEO]
Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan, is all set to get into the movie adaptation of AMC's critically acclaimed Breaking Bad and there is buzz that the Dilwale actor is likely to play the role of Walter White.
Khan, who started his own career by staring in popular TV series' like Fauji, Circus and In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones, thinks that Indian television is still not ready to accept the story of a person whose life revolves around meth, the mafia and drugs. In an exclusive interview with Indian Express, Khan said that he is ready to accept the award-winning series in a movie form.
"Not for television. I want to make it into a movie. As a series, it is too evolved to come on Indian television. The Indian audience won't be accepting meth, drugs and the mafia. But the story of a man who is going to die and takes a chance to save his family is a good premise for a feature film," Khan added.
In the interview, Khan further added that he has asked many people who have confirmed to him the names of those who would get him proper rights to make the cinematic adaptation of Breaking Bad.
"I am at that age when it will be interesting to take up such a role."
Bryan Cranston, who played the cult role of White, earlier suggested that after the last ever episode of the cult show, his alter ego might not be dead at all. Metro reported that a spin-off movie can be made.
If Khan has to star in Breaking Bad movie adaptation, then there are millions of fans of the series who would like to watch him making meth to earn a good amount of money before he dies.
