‘SNL’: Will Ferrell’s George W. Bush Returns to Blast Jeb, Donald Trump & Republican Party
The king of the George W. Bush impersonation, Will Ferrell, returned to Saturday Night Live this past weekend to revive his impression. During the cold open, Ferrell appeared as Bush and proceeded to blast the Republican Party and some of its candidates––particularly Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and yes, his own brother, Jeb.
Or, as we've come to know him as, Jeb!
Ferrell took the SNL during the show's cold open and, unsurprisingly, was met with thunderous applause. He proceeded to go down the list of Republican presidential candidates, taking them down one by one and filling the nation in on an update with regards to his own resume.
"This is an important day," he said. "I've made a big decision. I'm entering the race for President of the United States of America."
Ferrell's Bush – the President, that is – then explained his reason for doing so was merely because the current list of Republican candidates succeed only in making the American people miss him.
"And that's saying a lot!" he added.
Whether it was his slam of Dr. Ben Carson's inability to project his voice or his incessant laugh in regards to Trump's hair and current idea to ban Muslims from immigrating to the United States, it appears that Ferrell's impression left the masses wanting more.
More Ferrell, of course; maybe not more of George W. Bush.
Ferrell stopped by Saturday's SNL with host Chris Hemsworth and musicial guest Chance the Rapper.
