Which DC Villain Could Be a Bigger 'Batman v Superman' Threat Than Doomsday?

Doomsday will not be the Big Bad in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Although most fans and critics believe that the film's second trailer has given away the major plot twist of the film, a recent interview with the movie's production designer Patrick Tatopoulos has revealed that the teaser has barely scratched the surface.

"Doomsday isn't just the final act," Tatopoulos confirmed. "Those feeling they may know too much this early are going to be in for a true surprise."

Although there has been a report that the update is not real, here are the only possible threats bigger than Doomsday who could appear in Batman v Superman.

Lex Luthor

What could possibly be more dangerous than a hulking Kryptonian out for Superman's blood? It could be the man who created him. In the BvS trailer, it is shown that Jesse Eisenberg's character actually acquires General Zod's corpse and decides to experiment on it. Why? Perhaps because he's a madman who thinks that he can save the world by creating a monster.

Wonder Woman

She's not a villain, but there is no doubt that Diana Prince can hold her own against Batman AND Superman. After all, she actually saves them from Doomsday in the trailer. Although it is highly unlikely that Gal Gadot's incarnation of the Amazonian princess will get into a fight with the two superheroes, she is still highly capable of taking on them.

The Joker

Although it hasn't been confirmed if Jared Leto will appear in Batman v Superman, many fans believe that the Caped Crusader's arch-nemesis will be showing up, as suggested in the San Diego Comic-Con trailer.

Brainiac

Could Superman's greatest adversary finally make his big-screen debut? The Coluan villain certainly seems like a bigger threat than Doomsday, since he is highly intelligent in addition to his ability to mimic Kal-El's superpowers. Plus, Brainiac is known for working with Lex in the comic books.

Darkseid

The biggest and baddest of all DC supervillains, Darkseid is not only a threat to Batman or Superman or Wonder Woman; the ruler of planet Apokolips is so powerful that he can take on the entire Justice League. If he is coming to Earth, it may be time to bring in all the superheroes in the DC Extended Universe.
