Drake Partners With Clothing Management App 'Omni'
This is clearly Drake season. Everything the Canadian rapper touches turns to gold. The successful What A Time To Be Alive mixtape with Future, a practically sold out womenswear line and a sold out lipstick with Tom Ford. The 29-year old is unstoppable and his newest endeavor includes organizing our daily lives by partnering with a new clothing management app Omni.
According to TMZ, the "Hotline Bling" rapper is setting his sites out on the tech world. Omni is an app that organizes people's lives starting with their wardrobes.
The Omni app organizes and stores users' personal items. According reports, how the app works is that a user would have several different pieces of the same clothing. The user would then send the clothing to an Omni facility nearby where they would be photographed, stored and logged. When the user wants a specific piece of clothing, they would see all the organized pictures, select what they want and the piece of clothing would be delivered to their doorstep.
The site reports that Drizzy and the creator of the app, Thomas McLeod, were introduced through a mutual business partner. After sharing similar interests and discussing the app, the rapper decided to join in.
However, the 29-year-old sees himself being much more involved past the investor capacity. He wants to be involved with the creative process ad help take the app to the next level.
This app seems as if it requires a lot but surprisingly there are a few celebrities that are top investors such as actress Sophia Bush, music manager Scooter Braun and NBA player David Lee.
The Candian rapper is the type of individual who sets out to be unique in everything he is involved in. So it is no surprise that this tech venture would peak the rapper's interest.
