Divine Fits Debut New Material At SXSW [VIDEO]

Supergroup Divine Fits got caught up in the "new music" spirit for their SXSW show at Mohawk, premiering a new unnamed song for the Austin crowd. Though, if I had to guess, I’d say it’s called “You Know You’re Not The Only One.”

The group made up of indie titans Britt Daniel (lead singer of Austin’s own Spoon), Dan Boeckner (Wolf Parade, Atlas Strategic and Handsome Furs), Sam Brown (New Bomb Turks) and relative newcomer Alex Fischel, dropped their critically acclaimed debut A Thing Called Divine Fits in 2012. The lead single “Would That Not Be Nice?” has garnered quite a bit of college radio airplay.

After the song the band told the crowd that Mohawk was a fitting venue to debut new material as it was the spot of their first ever show as a band.

The track itself is a pounding reminder that Brit Daniel is in the band. It sounds very, very Spoon-y (which is high praise, I tells ya. High Praise!) even though Daniel has given up the vox duties of the song to Boeckner.

Check it out below and see if you can flesh out some lyrics in spite of the shoddy audio quality:

Do you like it? Have you copped A Thing Called Divine Fits yet (DO EEEEET!)?
