Katy Perry House: Songstress Unable To Sell $8 Million Dollar Home in Hollywood Hills

The Hollywood Hills house that Katy Perry shared with former hubby Russell Brand has been on the market since their divorce in February of 2012. And at an asking price of $8 million, she just can't seem to sell the thing.

The manor that Perry and then-husband Russell Brand bought for $6.5 million in the affluent neighborhood of Laurel Canyon has sat on the market for over a year and according to TMZ, Perry is considering lowering the price.

The gossip website said that Perry will be putting her house into a multiple listing service in 2 weeks at an asking price in the neighborhood of $7 million dollars. Sources told TMZ, however, that the "Hot N Cold" singer would take an offer in the high 6s.

Perry suffered a loss in selling her New York condo to move to the California home as well. Just before marrying Brand she put her condo on the market for $3 million dollars. When nobody bit, she was forced to lower her asking price to $2.65 million.

Perry came to fame with her bi-curious anthem "I Kissed a Girl" in 2008. British Brand had been garnering buzz as a comedian for several years before breaking onto the stateside scene with a role in the Jason Segel film "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." Perry and Brand married in late 2010 and divorced 14 months later.
