After it was teased last week at SXSW by DJ Young Guru, the hip-hop loving world has been salivating, waiting for the official remix of Kendrick Lamar’s “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe” (featuring the one and only HOV) to drop, and here it is.

The update on the Sounwave-produced track from Lamar’s stellar good kid, m.A.A.d city album features a verse from the Jigga man who, thankfully, showed up on this one (unlike other tracks I could name *cough* “Suit & Tie” *cough*). The track also features two new verses from the upstart rhymeslinger that has been charming critics and listeners alike since his Section.80 mixtape set the blogosphere on fire.

The remix comes with some awesomely symbolic imagery attached. The single cover features a black and white image of Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan during a game, the obvious message being that this song serves as a torch-passing from the aging Jay-Z (MJ) to the youngster Kendrick Lamar (Kobe, aka “Vino”).

Kendrick told MTV News that he views the track with Jay-Z as a serious accomplishment and quite the milestone. Check out his interview with MTV News below:

What do you think of the remix? Is it better than the uber-chill album original?
