John Krasinski Body Transformation: ‘13 Hours’ Star Discusses Workout Tips for Benghazi Film

The Office star John Krasinski looks a little bit less like Jim Halpert in his new film, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, and a lot more like some sort of professional (yet still funny) body builder. And after his transformation, the actor speaks with Men's Health about how he got "SEAL-fit."

The publication reports that the husband to Britain's own Emily Blunt was hooked up with trainer Jason Walsh for the film, who estimated that the actor "got all the way down to five percent body fat" in order to take on the role in the new Michael Bay feature.

Krasinski recently covered Men's Health and told the publication that he normally prepares for cover shoots by doing one thing: nothing. For this one, however, he's asked for the Chris Hemsworth filter, as he called it.

And, yeah, we can understand why:

"Whatever they do to make him look the way he does on the cover, do it to me," he jokes.

Krasinski then spoke about what he went through in order to get into shape for the film, noting how above everything else he loathes doing leg exercises – largely because there's no humor in someone who has the inability to sit. Someone who cannot lift, say, the shampoo bottle, as he says, well, that's just funny.

While known mostly for comedy, Krasinski is starring in the new film, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, which tells the story of American soldiers grouped as a security team over in Libya struggling to deal with the "chaos" of a U.S. compound being under attack.
