The Miami Heat vs. Boston Celtics battle it out on the court at the TD Bank Garden Center in Boston on Monday, March 18 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Read on to see where fans can watch and listen to a live stream of the Monday night basketball game online and catch up-to-date feeds and coverage on highlight plays and scores.
The Heat head into Monday evening's game as the no 1 team in the Eastern Conference of the Division Regular Season with 51 wins and only 14 losses. They currently rank the overall no 1 team in the NBA. According to Bleacher Report sports columnist Jimmy Spencer, "There's one way to give regular-season dominance a storyline. Win 22 in a row. The streak that began on Feb. 3 in Toronto continued on Sunday. The Miami Heat tied the NBA's second-longest winning streak, owned by Yao Ming's 2007-08 Houston Rockets, with a 108-91 victory at the Toronto Raptors. At a time that is supposed to be the most grueling stretch of schedule heading into the playoffs, the Heat are not relaxing or slowing down. LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh are each performing at a high level. If one is having a rough night, the other two step up. It isn't easy to be this consistent, but the league's best team is making wins look simple. The all-time record of consecutive wins is 33, owned by Jerry West and Wilt Chamberlain's 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers. During its win streak, Miami is shooting a league-best 50.8 percent and scoring 105 points per game. The reigning champs keep their top spot."
The Celtics are currently ranked 7th in the Eastern Conference with a 36 win and 29 loss record. Boston currently holds the no 9 overall spot out of 30 teams. According to Spencer, "The Boston Celtics could be the team to end the Miami Heat's streak. The Heat play the second game of a back-to-back in Boston on Monday, and the veteran tandem of Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce might be enough to stop Miami's obliteration of the league. While it's not 22 straight, the Celtics have won seven of their last nine games. Pierce is leading the Celtics during that stretch, averaging 20.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game. The Celtics move ahead of the Brooklyn Nets in the rankings, as no other team ahead of them not named Miami has a winning record in its last 10 games. Boston trails the No. 2-seeded Indiana Pacers by 3.5 games with 17 games remaining. That's not insurmountable."
Tonight's game should prove a fierce battle on the court between two of the league's best teams.
The game will be broadcasted live on ESPN, but fans can also listen in on the radio at WBZ 98.5, WEEI, WIBC, ESPN 760,and 940 WINZ.
