First Look at Tabu in 'Fitoor' Released Following New Movie Poster of Aditya Roy Kapur
Bollywood director Abhishek Kapoor is bringing the Charles Dickens' Great Expectations into celluloid with his upcoming romantic drama Fitoor. The film stars Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead roles. After releasing a poster of Kaif and Kapur, the movie makers have now revealed the first look of Tabu, who is in a pivotal role in the film.
It was previously reported that Bollywood diva, Rekha was supposed to play the role of Miss Havisham in Fitoor but she walked away from the film due to the creative differences between her and the director.
According to Bollywood Life, "Rekha had a scene opposite Katrina after the shot she went to the monitor and demanded that Abhishek delete the scene or then Katrina from it. When he didn't oblige she threatened to leave the film. Abhishek refused to give in and hence Rekha walked out."
Tabu, who has won National Awards for the Best Actress for her roles in Maachis and Chandni Bar replaced Rekha for the role of Begum, the Indian version of Miss Havisham. In the film, Kapur will be seen as a Kashmiri, Noor, whereas Kaif will be seen as his love, Firdaus.
Four new posters from the film were recently released by the director and the posters promise the film will stun the audience with every character. Tabu looks like a royal lady while she sits on a sofa chair as Begum Hazrat and Kaif looks gorgeous as Firdaus in red hair. Kapu, on the other hand, has some depth in his eyes. The last poster sees Noor and Firdaus embracing each other in love with the tagline, "Yeh Ishq Nahin Aasan."
This film will be the first time for Kapur and Kaif to share the screen. The film is slated to release on February 12, 2016. The film is produced by Kapur's elder brother Siddharth Roy Kapur.
