It has been almost 19 years since hip-hop lost the legend known as The Notorious B.I.G.  After being taken away from us so soon at the tender age of 24, his legacy has certainly lived on. Singer and widow Faith Evans has yet to come to grips with the fact that the late rapper's killer has not been found. While many people have their own theories of who murdered the rapper, no one has been brought to justice.  Now, the singer has shared that she would like for the Los Angeles Police Department to reopen their investigation into the famous rapper's death.

While the rapper and singer had a bit of an on and off relationship, Evans was still married to B.I.G when he was gunned down in Los Angeles.

While sitting down with Huffington Post Live, the 42-year-old singer held nothing back as she shared her feelings about her late husband's death. She explained that both her and B.I.G.'s mother know in their hearts what happened to the rapper.

Although the LAPD claimed to be working diligently in finding out who murdered B.I.G there is still no answer. Evans shared that she believes that the LAPD is well aware of who committed the murder but they are biting their tongues.

"We know he was murdered, but we believe that the LAPD knows who's responsible. That's what we believe," shared the singer.

At this time the family remains hopeful that the case will be reopened.  The rapper's death sparked a lot of controversy around the East Coast vs. West Coast beef that also claimed the life of his rival, rapper Tupac Shakur.
