A&E's 'Damien' Spoilers: Bradley James, Glen Mazzara 'The Omen' Pilot 'Taxi' Teaser Premiere!
From Glen Mazzara (The Walking Dead), A&E promises to frighten audiences with Damien. Based on The Omen horror flick, starring Bradley James (Homeland), a new "Taxi" teaser has been released, featuring footage from the pilot, before its official premiere in 2016.
Based on the plot synopsis, the A&E drama follows the mysterious child from Satan in the classic Richard Donner (Superman) and Gregory Peck (To Kill A Mockingbird) horror movie. Damien has all grown up since the events from the first flick, not the sequels. In a bit of interesting trivia, in final installment, Damien is on cusp of becoming President. In the TV show, Damien (James) has to come to terms with his true destiny and accept his throne in Hell as the Antichrist.
A previous teaser was released from the official A&E twitter account. The caption stated, echoing an infamous line from the movie, "It's all for you, Damien. The new series #Damien is coming in 2016." In slow motion, and told backwards, a woman from a fancy party repeats the line before crashes through a window while under demonic possession.
According to Joblo, "A new teaser has now arrived online that takes a similar approach to selling the series, looking to draw in viewers with suicidal acts committed in the name of the Antichrist."
We also mentioned, viewers will see a different kind of Walking Dead reunion on the new A&E's drama. Remembered as Hershel Greene, Scott Wilson joins his former TWD showrunner Glen Mazzara for this new project.
The Damien showrunner hopes audience will join them on this supernatural drama, "Hopefully this is something that people fall in love with and come back season after season. We have a long story to tell."
Damien will premiere on A&E sometime in 2016.
