Jerry Seinfeld Beefs with Hungry-Man TV Dinners on ‘Late Show’, Ribs America’s Weight Problem

Much like the rest of the country (we think), comedian Jerry Seinfeld isn't a fan of Swanson's Hungry-Man TV dinners. While addressing America's weight problem on last night's The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Seinfeld expressed his disgust for the pseudo meal during his stand-up set.

Calling it the exact opposite of a buffet, the comedian noted that it's also "a little taste of prison right in your own home" – perhaps largely because the tray is very similar to that of a prison tray.

And yes, it also most likely tastes just like prison food does.

After dissecting the oh-so-intense marketing meeting that went into the creation of the Hungry-Man name, the comedian admitted that he feels the food has probably helped people reach their personal goals along the way. His reason for believing so was namely because after chowing through the so called "food" on the TV tray, he can't help but think people feel a little more inclined to do something with their lives.

"I can't go on like this!" he joked.

Seinfeld appeared on The Late Show to promote the newest season of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, which has recently released two episodes: the first being with President Barack Obama (yes, seriously), and the second with comedian-actor Steve Martin.

Given his appearance on The Late Show, we're kind of hoping the stand-up does an episode of Comedians in Cars incorporating some sort of TV dinner. Maybe this one?

Seinfeld will kick off his year-long residency at New York's Beacon Theatre tonight, Jan. 7.
