Zayn Malik proved that there's still bad blood between him and his former One Direction bandmates. In an all new interview, Malik disses Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson, saying that their music was not cool.
Although Malik admits that he "genuinely enjoyed" his former band mates' company, but his taste in music was way different from the band. He even went on to say that the other boys' indie rock style is "not a good music" and it "was never cool" where he was from.
The 22-year-old singer, who stars in the featured cover story for Billboard's January 2016 issue, didn't hold back in his interview.
The interview took place just about two weeks after Made In The A.M. was released, and Malik shared a piece of his mind about the group’s new music.
“I’ll be honest, I thought the first single was quite cool,” he reveals, referring to “Drag Me Down.” He then goes on to say, “I heard the second single ["Perfect"] and — yeah, I didn’t buy the album.”
"Perfect" is one of the most popular tracks in the British-Irish boy band's latest album. It was believed to be Styles' ode to his romance with country superstar, Taylor Swift.
Malik's criticism is not something new, four months after he left One Direction, the singer made an announcement revealing he’s ready to make "real music" with his new label, RCA.
I guess I never explained why I left , it was for this moment to be given the opportunity to show you who i really am! #realmusic #RCA !!

Perrie Edwards' ex previously told The Fader that people don't know what he will give them musically yet. He then said that if fans will finally hear his music, "they’ll understand why I did what I did, and why I left the band, and why I had to write all this s**t down."
