Sian Blake went missing with her two sons last month, but on January 5, police found three bodies in the back garden of her home in England. The bodies were officially identified on January 7 as being the EastEnders' actress and her two young sons, eight-year-old Zachary and four-year-old Amon Ben George.
On Tuesday morning, police excavated the garden leading to the grisly discovery of the bodies.
People magazine reports that Detective Superintendent Paul Monk of Homicide and Major Crime Command said in an official statement: “Sadly, as part of a thorough forensic search we are carrying out at the family’s home in Erith, we recovered three bodies from the garden of the property."
The detective also revealed that they were now treating this as a “murder investigation,” and confirmed that Blake’s family had been notified of the tragic discovery.

The postmortem examinations were performed on Wednesday, January 6 and it concluded that the cause of death for Blake and her children was as a result of "head and neck injuries." Photographs obtained by ITV News show Blake's partner, Arthur Simpson-Kent, arriving in Ghana days after being quizzed by police over her disappearance. The professional hair stylist was last seen on December 16, three days after Blake and her two boys were reported missing.

Police are aware of reports in the media that Arthur Simpson-Kent has travelled abroad. This continues to be one line of investigation and for operational reasons they are not yet prepared to discuss this further at this stage.
