Academy Award winner Sean Penn reportedly had a clandestine meeting with Mexican drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman before he was recently arrested... again. After his meeting, Penn authored a piece for Rolling Stone in which he discussed his meeting.
The two spoke largely about his run as a drug kingpin in Mexico, with El Chapo explaining that he "supplies more heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana than anybody else in the world."
He further noted that he has a "fleet of submarines, airplanes, trucks and boats," and spoke about his latest escape from prison, which occurred back in July 2015.

Penn's meeting with El Chapo lasted a reported seven hours and new reports have suggested that the two meeting actually delayed in the drug lord getting arrested by authorities. CNN claims that Mexican police are interested in questioning both Penn and actress Kate del Castillo, who was involved in the meeting as well.
Regardless of the supposed delay, the Mexican drug kingpin was arrested this past Friday. He and Penn met back in October.
Per the report in Rolling Stone, Penn explained, "He pulls me into a 'compadre' hug, looks me in the eyes and speaks a lengthy greeting in Spanish too fast for my ears."
