Season 12 of FOX's "American Idol" is down to the top 9 contestants and Wednesday March 20th's show was Beatles night. The remaining nine singers tried to take on the "Fab Four" to varying degrees of success. The girls continued their domination of "American Idol," specifically Angie Miller, Candice Glover, and Janelle Arthur. Keep reading to see how all nine contestants did on the last night's "American Idol."

"Idol" front runner Kree Harrison sang "With a Little Help From My Friends." It wasn't great, but it also wasn't bad, meaning Harrison should find herself moving on to the next round. Burnell Taylor put forth maybe the strongest male performance of the night by singing "Let It Be." Nicki Minaj put it best when she said, "You didn't even sing the song, you caressed it."

Next up was Amber Holcomb, who performed "She's Leaving Home." It wasn't Holcomb's best performance, but she is so good, it still was one of the better showings Wednesday night. Lazaro Arbos followed Holcomb with "In My Life." Unfortunately for Arbos he put on a Charlie Askew type showing and almost completely broke down after the judges panned his performance. Randy Jackson called it his worst performance so far. Ouch!

Candice Glover brought the show back to life with "Come Together." Glover is really starting to break away from the pack. She is the new clear cut favorite on season 12. Glover also showed off her rock side with this song, making her an even more dominant contestant. Paul Jolley had to follow Glover and he didn't do a very good job. Jolly sang "Eleanor Rigby" but the judges weren't impressed, especially Nicki. Minaj told Jolley his rendition was, "very, very safe, very bland and forgettable."

Angie Miller sang "Yesterday" in another solid performance. It was probably a top three showing from Wednesday night, further solidifying Miller's standing as one of the top singers this season.

Devin Velez gave a solid performance of "The Long and Winding Road." Velez may not have been spectacular, but he and Taylor are arguably the two strongest male singers.

The last performance was by country singer Janelle Arthur. She sang "I Will" in what was a very important performance for her. Arthur knocked it out of the park this week, which was huge, because she was starting to fall to the back of the pack before this performance.

To review: Janelle Arthur and Candice Glover had probably the two strongest performances. Amber Holcomb and Angie Miller kept their standing in the competition with solid performances. Burnell Taylor and Devin Velez put on strong showings, while Paul Jolley and Lazaro Arbos had bad performances, making them the most likely to be voted off.

Lastly, Aubrey Cleland beat out Charlie Askew for the 11th spot on the "Idol" live tour.
