Country fans rejoice, Keith Urban has announced a new tour. The RipCORD Tour will take place over this year and the singer is looking to make even more of connection with fans then he has in the past.
Along with the news that he is hitting the road this year, Urban also revealed a little bit about what goes into putting on a great show . He stated that he is looking to "raise the bar" this time around. In fact, he credited Andy Kaufman with raising the bar years ago when the comedian took the entire audience out for milk and cookies after the show. He called it the "greatest ending on earth that I have ever heard" and suggested "that might be my next move"

The country hottie shared that he is always trying to figure out how to connect with his fans at his shows, as well as how to do things a little more intimately while performing in large arenas. Although the planning phase of the tour is in the beginning stages, Nicole Kidman's husband wants to add musical elements that his fans have never seen before. He also shared that he will build his show for those with "short attention spans" meaning he is looking for ways to showcase his old material in a new way. The singer further proved his point, saying, "That's how I always am at a show, 'What else you got? What else is there?'"
Keith Urban, who is still in the process of finishing the new album, also titled RipCORD, will kick off the tour on June 2nd in Kanas City, Missouri and finish up on November 19th in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclay's Center. Along with the news that he will hit the road this summer, he also shared that his opening act will be country newcomer Maren Morris. Brett Eldredge will join with tour for the show in Nashville only. Tickets are set to go on sale on January 29th.
