Seth MacFarlane, Emilia Clarke, Break Up: Oscars Host and 'Game of Thrones' Star Split, Is 'Family Guy' Creator Dating Charlize Theron Now?

"Game of Thrones" is set to start its third season in less than two weeks, but it looks like star Emilia Clarke has already made it into the headlines for something different: her break up with "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane. The Oscar host has stirred up some controversy for his "We Saw Your Boobs" song at the ceremony, so he is maybe looking at some dating woes now that he is single. Though some rumors have already surfaced about him and Charlize Theron's possible romance.

Clarke and MacFarlane first took their relationship public in September. They were spotted at the Los Angeles Pacific Design Center during an HBO Emmy after party and were seen leaving together. The couple had reportedly been seeing each other for "a few months" at that point. In an interview before his Oscar-hosting gig, Seth praised Emilia saying she is "an incredibly kind, supremely talented person and one of the hardest-working people I have ever met."

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Seth shared his views on the struggles of dating in Hollywood:

"It's a pain in the ass because if you date, at a certain point you're in a relationship and at a certain point you're playing the field. It becomes this thing of trying to find places where you can have some privacy, where you're not going to be accosted by people and suddenly linked to someone as if you're in a serious relationship."

It looks he was right. According to a source close to the couple:

"They are no longer dating. It was really a location challenge. She has been in Europe shooting Game of Thrones and he is based in California, so it was hard to make it work despite the distance. They have remained friends."

Plenty of "Game of Thrones" fans are most likely rejoicing over Emilia Clarkes newfound independence.

Rumors started spreading after MacFarlane's Oscar night hosting gig involved an opening number with actress and Academy Award winner Charlize Theron. Have the two started a relationship? Well, Theron is set to star in MacFarlane's new film, A Million Ways to Die in the West, and reports were coming in that Seth had a "bond" with Chrlize's adopted son Jackson as well. Unfortunately, these are all rumors with no confirmation, but so far it looks like they are just friends. So this news is false.
