50 Shades of Grey Movie Casting Rumors: Ian Somerhalder, Alexis Bledel as Christian Grey, Anastasia Steele: Nina Dobrev, Vincent Kartheiser Romances Hindering? [POLL]

Ian Somerhalder and Alexis Bledel remain top fan favorites to snag the sexy roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steel in E.L. James' highly-anticipated film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey." But considering both stars are currently in serious, blossoming relationships with fellow co-stars Nina Dobrev and Vincet Kartheiser (respectfully), do fans think it might hinder the duo's decision to star in such kinky, sexually dominant roles? Is there a chance the romantic, personal lives of the "Vampire Diaries" heartthrob and former "Gilmore Girls" sweetheart could impact the casting of "Fifty Shades of Grey?"

It's obvious that 34-year-old Somerhalder is quite interested in the charming, seductive role of Mr. Grey. But according to several gossip reports, gorgeous girlfriend Nina Dobrev might not be too keen on the idea... unless, maybe, she manages to snag the role of Grey's kinky sidekick, Ana Steele:

Somerhalder and Dobrev went public with their relationship in September 2011, and they've been going pretty strong ever since. Given the explicit sexual nature of "Fifty Shades," some fans are worried that taking on such an erotic role might put a strain on the couple's blossoming relationship. Meanwhile, several recent reports confirm that 31-year-old Bledel just got engaged to "Mad Men" beau, Vincent Kartheiser. The AMC co-stars went public with their relationship in mid-2012. Although Bledel reigns supreme in several Anastasia Steele casting polls, the "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" starlet has remained relatively hush-hush in regards to all the "Fifty Shades" buzz. Now that the stunning brunette must start planning her wedding, will she deny the role of Ana in respect to her future hubby? Not to mention that Bledel's busy with an anticipated return to television...

The fact of the matter is - acting is acting. "Fifty Shades" may require a little more nerve and faux bedroom stamina, but ultimately, it's still just a performance. If Somerhalder and Bledel are indeed interested in playing Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele (and in turn, E.L. James is interested in casting them), it's unlikely that their relationships would get in the way of such a major career move.

A sneak-peak trailer for Somerhalder's latest acting project - a series of six short films entitled "Time Framed" - also has some fans and critics buzzing that the short clip would make the perfect screen test/audition for "Fifty Shades." Bledel's innocent and down-to-earth demeanor - along with her fresh complexion, brunette locks, and striking blue eyes -has many "Fifty Shades" fans pining for her to snag the role of Anastasia Steele. The only problem in casting Bledel would be her age - Steele is described as a recent, 22-year-old college graduate. Considering Bledel is already in her 30s may present a problem later on in the film trilogy. Even so, Bledel still glows youth and charisma, which could greatly be used to her benefit. In several recent Mstars polls, Bledel continues to win a majority of the votes, beating out several other fan-favorites including Lucy Hale, Emma Watson, Emilia Clarke, and Ashley Greene.
