Olivia Munn Engaged to Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers? Actress Responds to Reports

Is actress Olivia Munn engaged to Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers? Ok! magazine reports that the football player proposed over the holidays, after asking her parents for permission. The couple have dated since May 2014.

The quarterback reportedly proposed to Munn during a romantic dinner with a five-carat princess-cut diamond engagement ring.

Ok! adds that Rodgers, 32, and Munn, 35, plan to get married before the NFL season begins next fall in his hometown of Chico, California.

A source told the publication, "Olivia wasn't expecting it, but they're so in love he couldn't wait."

The have been dating since May 2014, following her split with actor Joel Kinnaman after two years of dating. Munn and Rodgers reportedly met at the Academy of Country Music Awards.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback previously spoke of his happiness with the former Newsroom actress. He was asked if all the attention on the relationship bothered him. The athlete replied, "No. For one, I'm real happy in my relationship. And I understand what comes with it. And two, the last couple years, I've learned a lot about perspective and what's important."

He adds that dating an actress can lead to lots of scrutiny and attention, but stated he chooses to embrace it so he can live his life.

Munn, who has appeared on the television series The Newsroom and in Miles From Tomorrowland, gushed over her beau in an interview with Good Housekeeping. The actress stated, "Aaron is different than every other man I've ever met ... there's so much I could say. Everything a good person can be, he is. He's in such great shape, and especially lately, he's been eating so well and working out. Having somebody in your life like that is so motivating."

Munn stars in the upcoming blockbuster X-Men: Apocalypse as Psylocke. The movie opens in theaters in May.

On the engagement rumors, the actress appeared to shut them down with a funny text exchange with her mother, which she posted to social media.
