With Oscar nominations just around the corner, it's only fitting that the year's worst films get recognized, too. The Golden Raspberry Awards, also known as the Razzies, which famously award the worst films and performances of the year, just announced their nominees. A whopping four films topped the list for most nominations: Fifty Shades of Grey, Pixels, Jupiter Ascending and Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2.
Fifty Shades managed to score nominations in all of the big categories for Worst Picture, Worst Actor (for Jamie Dornan), Worst Actress (Dakota Johnson), Worst Director (Sam Taylor-Johnson), Worst Screen Combo and Worst Screenplay.
Pixels, Jupiter Ascending and Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 also shared six nominations, including Worst Picture, with the Fantastic Four reboot (which was epically panned by critics earlier in the year) rounding out the category.
Speaking of the impending Oscar nominations, Eddie Redmayne, who is likely to be nominated this year for his work in The Danish Girl, and Julianne Moore (who won the Best Actress award last year) were both also nominated for Razzies this year. Redmayne nabbed a Worst Supporting Actor for Jupiter Ascending and Moore nabbed Worst Supporting Actress for Seventh Son.
In the spirit of keeping things light, the Razzies also honor prior Razzie winners who have redeemed themselves in the current year. This year's recipients of the Razzie Redeemer Award are Elizabeth Banks, M. Night Shyamalan, Will Smith and Sylvester Stallone.
The full list of nominees can be found below. The Razzies winners will be announced on Feb. 27, which is the day before Oscar Sunday.
