The whole world watched as Beyonce aka Mrs. Carter gracefully transformed from a hot, independent and "Single Lady" to the mother that she is now. Her drastic weight loss post pregnancy had people talking and wondering what her weight loss secret was. People even started to question if the singer had ever gotten pregnant in the first place!
The working mom explained to Shape Magazine that she had to put on a show 3 months after baby girl Blue Ivy was born. In a way, it forced her to shed her baby pounds much more quickly than the average woman would take.
Beyonce is a bit regretful for putting her own body through that much pressure in order to lose the 57 pounds gained through her pregnancy.
"I didn't have a lot of time to lose the weight because I scheduled a show three months after I gave birth, which I would never do again. I'm not a person that is naturally very thin. I am a person that has to work at keeping my body in shape," she explained to Shape Magazine.
The singer wants to encourage new mothers to focus on staying healthy rather than focusing on the physical body.
"For me, dancing is what keeps me active and I would just say everyone is not supposed to be the same. I'll say to [Blue Ivy], be your best self. Be healthy, take care of yourself and be truly happy with the beautiful things that make up who you are."
And finally, the secret as to how Mrs. Carter trimmed her figure and stayed healthy was to stick to a strict and wholesome diet.
"I ate a very low-calorie diet. I stayed away from red meat and ate a lot of fish, replaced pasta and rice with quinoa," she revealed.
The secret itself is a good one, however the unnecessary pressure to lose weight too quickly is what the singer does not recommend for any woman to go under, including herself.
Another exciting news is that the beauty and her hubby Jay-Z will soon try for a second child after her Mrs. Carter tour.
"I'll probably start after this tour. We'll see if it happens."
It won't be long before we see "Beyonce Pregnant Again" taking over headlines, with a few false cries along the way.
