Wow. What an incredible first day of the 2013 NCAA March Madness tournament. How are your brackets holding up? There were a TON of upsets yesterday, so once could only imagine how aggravating this tournament has been so far even though it has only been one day. More importantly, though, this is shaping out to be an incredible exciting March Madness.
HIGHLIGHTS:
One of the biggest upsets was last night's Harvard (14 seed) victory over New Mexico (3 seed) (pictured). Also, two other big upsets were Oregon (12) beating Oklahoma State (5) and California (12) knocking out UNLV (5).
We also got to see number one overall pick, Louisville, show off their talent against North Carolina A&T (who performed exceptionally well for being the biggest underdogs in the tournament). Plus VCU destroyed Akron with an 88 to 42 victory and Syracuse demolished Montana 81 to 34.
Were you one the edge of your seat when 1 seed Gonzaga almost lost to 16 seed Southern? Though they won 64 to 58, Gonzaga played down to the wire and had fans holding their breath until the last seconds.
Also, was anyone else biting their nails during the Marquette - Davidson game?
Yeesh!
