The 7th seed Creighton Bluejays take on the 10th seed Cincinnati Bearcats in a bit of first round play at 2:45 EST on CBS.
The Bluejays blasted their way into this tournament by winning the Mountain Valley Conference tournament. Cincinnati took the more subtle route of being really good all year. This marks the 3rd straight year that the Bearcats have gone dancing, while Creighton is on their second consecutive trip to the tournament.

McDermott is the biggest name in this game. The junior forward has had a great year, averaging 23.1 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Any team hoping to stop Creighton, will have to put a stop to the red-hot McDermott.

While the Bearcats have struggled as of late (1-4 through February), their defense is the key to their program. Cinci is ranked 8th in the nation in rebounds and center Cheikh Mbodj handles his business in the paint with a healthy block total of 2+ per game.

Creighton and Cincinnati have a set of brothers that are both prominent members of their faculty.
Momoro Ono is a music professor at Creighton while his brother Santa Ono is president of Cincinnati. The brothers have agreed to wear the opposing teams gear for a day should their school lose.
