The latest "Star Trek" film is going to be a blockbuster. The only question is just how much money the movie will make. With each new trailer, the film's large fan base grows more and more excited for its May 17 release (opens May 15 in IMAX). The J.J. Abrams directed film, "Star Trek Into Darkness" just released its international trailer revealing a few more tidbits. The preview gives fans a little more insight into the movie's plot as well as a better look into Captain Kirk's love interest, Dr. Carol Marcus, played by Alice Eve.
Captain Kirk, played by Chris Pine, has always been a smooth customer with the ladies and by the looks of the international trailer for "Into Darkness" the latest installment is no different. There are several quick shots of the 31-year-old British actress in the latest trailer, including a scantily clad shot of the blonde actress. Eve will be playing the Starfleet medical doctor and possible love interest of Captain Kirk. This is a big role for Eve, who can be seen in movies such as "She's Out of My League" and "Sex and the City 2."
Fans also get a much better look of the film's main villain in the latest trailer. James T. Kirk's main foe in "Star Trek Into Darkness" will be John Harrison, played by actor Benedict Cumberbatch. Harrison is one of the Federation's top operatives who has gone rogue. Paramount also gives fans a brief look into some of the action expected for "Into Darkness." In one scene, Captain Kirk and Spock (played by Zachary Quinto) have a funny back and forth while trying to fly through a tight space.
"Star Trek Into Darkness" opens May 15 in IMAX and everywhere else May 17. Are you ready for Captain Kirk's latest voyage? And just how steamy will the movie get with Kirk and love interest Dr. Carol Marcus.
