Hollywood funny-man Seth Rogen has signed on to direct the Columbia Pictures-backed film "The Interview" about a talk show host and his producer who get involved in a plot to assassinate the prime minister of North Korea, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Rogen and longtime friends Evan Goldberg wrote the screenplay for “The Interview,” which Rogen will wear the hat as both actor and director. Rumors are swirling as to weather James Franco, Rogen’s frequent co-star, in films like “Pineapple Express,” and the upcoming “This Is the End.”

Rogen had his director’s debut with the upcoming “This is the End,” also co-directed by Evan Goldberg. The film’s projected success inspired Columbia to nudge Rogen and Goldberg back into the director’s chair.
“This Is The End,” his theaters June 14. There is no confirmed date as to when production will begin for the “The Interview.”
