The chase, arrest, and trial of O.J. Simpson's notorious murder case will be transformed into a television miniseries for FOX. In June of 1994, the football star who became and actor was the main suspect in the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman. That summer included an infamous low-speed car chase and an intense murder trial. It was one of the biggest events in the world. Now FOX executives say it is ready to bring the story to television in an adaptation.

This dramatic miniseries is set to be based on the 1997 book by Jeffrey Toobin, "The Run of His Life: The People vs O.J. Simpson." The series might even take that title for itself. It will focus on the white Bronco chase and the courtroom happenings that ended in his 1995 acquittal. Larry Karaszewski and Scott Alexander (the writing team responsible for another courtroom film, The People vs. Larry Flynt) will be writing the script for this O.J. Simpson project.

Again, this miniseries will be focusing on the events after the actual homicide, so it is unclear who will be portrayed in this adaptation. Since this was just announced, there are no reports on who will be playing Simpson but rumors will surely be starting soon. Also, since this is based in the courtroom, there will most likely be a portrayal of Robert Kardashian, father of the now-infamous Kardashian sisters. It will be interesting to see what Kim, Khloe and Kourtney have to say about whomever is chosen for that role.

Currently, O.J. Simpson is serving a prison sentence of "up to 33 years" for kidnapping and armed robbery from a completely separate case. Perhaps this story will become a miniseries as well.
