Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan Disappointed with ‘Dilwale’?

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was recently seen in Rohit Shetty's action-romantic film Dilwale along with Kajol Devgan. However, the film has failed to earn a good amount at the box office and Khan admitted that he his disappointed.

Dilwale earned $2.7 million dollars at the Indian box office and the star of the film admitted that the box office collection has dampened the expectations with his pairing with Devgan. At a recent press event, when asked about his take on the box office collection of the film, the 50-year-old star was quoted by Indian Express as responding:

"I don't think the film has done as well as it should have. I am personally disappointed with that."

According to an earlier report from Indian Express, Dilwale's worldwide collection is around $49.4 million dollars. It means that the film has done exceptionally well in the overseas market. Even Khan pointed out the same thing in the press event, then adding that the film did not do well in India but he is very happy by the appreciation it has received from the overseas market.

"But overseas it has done very well in a lot of countries like Germany, Austria. It is quite thrilling that Indian films are reaching far and wide. There is a lot of business opportunities."

Dilwale was released ahead of the festive season on Dec. 18, 2015, on the same day as Sanjay Leela Bhansali's period drama, Bajirao Mastani, which featured Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra.

Khan will next be seen in Rahul Dholakia's Raees and by the looks of the first teaser video and poster it looks like he will be playing the role of a gangster. After Raees, Khan's most awaited project, Fan, is schedule for release. In the film, Khan will be seen in double role.

We just hope that these upcoming films will not disappoint Khan.
