The Detroit Pistons vs. the Miami Heat battle it out on the court at AmericaAirlines Arena on Friday, March 22 at 7:30 p.m. ET. Read on to see where fans can watch and listen to a live stream of the Friday night basketball game online and catch up-to-date feeds and coverage on highlight plays and scores. Miami is currently on a 24-game winning streak - will the Heat continue on to break NBA history?
The Pistons head into Friday evening's game as the no 12 team in the Eastern Conference of the Division Regular Season with only 23 wins and a whopping 26 losses. Detroit snags the meager no 28 overall spot in the NBA. According to ESPN sports columnist Marc Stein, "The Pistons started out 0-8. They're 0-8 in March as well. And they're 0-14 on the road against Western Conference teams, with only one more chance to steal a win when they go to Minnesota on April 6. It's a lot of zeroes that add up to our usual plea: Come back soon, Andre Drummond!"
Meanwhile, the Heat are ranked no 1 in the Eastern Conference and currently hold the no 1 spot in the 2012-2013 NBA Regular Season this week (out of 30 teams) with 53 wins and only 14 losses. As Stein points out, "The Heat have gone from scoffing at the question to legitimately wondering if they can get to 25 (or beyond) and prove this is a pretty special group orbiting their otherworldly superstar. Ten straight road wins now after Miami failed to win more than two in a row on the road before the streak."
Miami defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday, extending the Heat's winning streak to 24 - the 2nd largest in NBA history. The record is still currently held by the 1971-1972 LA Lakers with 33 straight wins.
Tonight's game should prove a fierce battle on the court between one of NBA's best teams, and one of its worst.
The game will be broadcasted live on NBA TV, but fans can also listen in on the radio at 97.1 'The Ticket,' ESPN 1450, 107.3 WBBL, ESPN 760, and 940 WINZ.
