WWE "Friday Night Smackdown" was last night, March 22, and the "Road to WrestleMania" became a little more clear for wrestling fans. There are just two more weeks until "WrestleMania 29" on April 7 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. The main angle of the night on "Smackdown" was The Shield against Sheamus, Randy Orton, and Big Show WrestleMania build up.

It's obvious the six man tag match at "WrestleMania 29" will be The Shield (Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns) against Sheamus, Randy Orton, and Big Show even though the match hasn't officially been added to the card. It also looks like The Miz will be facing Wade Barret for the Intercontinental Championship in some type of match. In addition, with Fandango interfering in Chris Jericho's match with Jack Swagger Friday night, it looks like we may see a Jericho, Fandango match at "WrestleMania 29."

Hulk Hogan has been making the news quite a bit recently. The Hulkster made a number of interesting comments in a interview with Fighting Spirit Magazine. Although some may question how truthful Hogan is at times, he always offers a good read. When asked about "Macho Man" Randy Savage and the late wrestler's supposed feud with Vince McMahon, Hogan said, "I've heard two or three different stories, and I don't know if any of those are true, but he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, and I would love to be the one that inducts him. I've got a speech for him ready to go." There is no doubt Savage should be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame eventually, but I highly doubt Hogan would be the one inducting him. Hogan goes into quite a bit about Savage around the of his passing.

Hogan also revealed to Fighting Spirit Magazine that he wanted Sting to come to WWE (then WWF) in the late 1980's. Hogan told the magazine, "Sting should have already had his New York (WWE) run. I'll tell you something; when I got red-hot after WrestleMania III, I was begging Vince to get Sting in the WWF so I could turn heel at some point. He had the blond hair, he was 10 times more athletic than me, and I believed this guy could have the same run as Hulkamania, but take it 10 times bigger. I was telling Vince (McMahon), 'Let me get this guy over', because after beating Andre, if they'd brought Sting in and had him beat me, it would have made him this tall (gestures with his hand above his head). Hogan would have turned heel and passed the torch to Sting. However, Sting refused. Hogan went on to say, "But Sting wouldn't come; we tried and tried, but he just would not jump. Vince even talked to him last year, but still Sting wouldn't go."

Hogan also revealed to Fighting Spirit Magazine that he wanted to turn heel at "WrestleMania VI" against the Ultimate Warrior. Obviously it never happened and Hogan ended up turning heel in WCW when he joined the New World Order. It is a very interesting interview and worth checking out.

Lastly, in WWE news, F4Wonline is reporting that the video WWE released of Stephanie McMahon boxing is no coincidence. Rumor is that Stephanie could be making an appearance at "WrestleMania 29" during the Triple H and Brock Lesnar match. You can check out the video of Stephanie below.
