With the recent news that "The Notebook" star Ryan Gosling will be taking a break from acting, there was worry that millions of women across the nation would have trouble coping with the loss of a heartthrob from the big screen. Now word is that a helpline has been created to help fans deal with this news. No, we aren't making this up. The "Gosline" was created so fans of People magazine's 2013 "Most Wanted Man" can listen to recordings of some of his most famous movie lines.
The Hollywood actor told The Associated Press in a recent interview that he is going to be taking a break from acting. Gosling said, "I've been doing it too much. I've lost perspective on what I'm doing. I think it's good for me to take a break and reassess why I'm doing it and how I'm doing it. And I think this is probably a good way to learn about that. I need a break from myself as much as I imagine the audience does."
No fear Gosling fans, he still can be seen in "The Place Beyond the Pines" March 29 with his rumored girlfriend Eva Mendes as well as in a revenge drama called "Only God Forgives" in May. Fans will at least get their fill of Gosling this spring before he takes his on-screen hiatus.
Gosling isn't taking a complete break from movies though. The actor will be directing "How to Catch a Monster" in May. Gosling crazed fans will just have to picture what he looks like behind the camera instead of seeing him on the big screen.
NME is reporting that despite his break from acting, the website Blinkbox has created a phone line that fans can call to hear recordings of the actor from his roles in movies such as "The Notebook." A spokesperson for Blinkbox said, "We couldn't bear the thought of the distress caused by Ryan's announcement. We hope that this goes some way to relieving the pain and hurt caused by his selfish decision to take a break."
This is great news and confirms that all is well with the world.
