ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" isn't all fun and games. Despite being a career reviver for many celebrities, "Dancing with the Stars" can be tough on the contestants. They have to train with professional dancers day after day to try and wow the judges and crowd to move on in the competition. Like most things, it's difficult to get accustomed to the physical training involved to be the best. This is what is happening with star of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" Lisa Vanderpump. Reports are that the reality star has bruises all over her body from practicing with her partner Gleb Savchenko. This is just the beginning for Vanderpump and her fellow stars. Season 16 of "Dancing with the Stars" is only in its second week, with its second episode airing tonight (Monday) at 8pm.
Despite being considered one of the weaker contestants going into this season of "Dancing with the Stars," Vanderpump performed well during her week one performance of the Foxtrot. Vanderpump scored a 18 (out of 30), but was far better than the shows worst dancer D.L. Hughley, who scored just a 12. This week will be the first time a contestant will get voted off in season 16. Tuesday night will be the voting results show.
Vanderpump told Access Hollywood, "Oh my God -- I'm covered in [bruises]...I mean, it's so much harder than I thought it would be! I have to be honest. It should come with a health warning." On Monday night, Vanderpump and her professional dancing partner will be trying to tackle the Jive. By the sound of it, Vanderpump has her work cut out for her. "We don't have the routine down. It's a bit of a rush," Vanderpump told Access Hollywood."I think everybody is struggling. I think I can speak for everybody, because I've been talking to the other cast [members]."
Monday night will also be the first time contestants get a chance to do Jazz dancing on the show. Among the celebrities tackling Jazz Monday night are Andy Dick, Jacoby Jones, and Kellie Pickler.
The favorites of the competition seem to be country music star Kellie Pickler, "General Hospital" star Ingo Rademacher, and Olympian Alexandra Raisman. However, it was the shows youngest contestant ever, 16-year-old Zendaya Coleman, who stole the show week one with a score of 24 from the judges. Will she be able to repeat her performance tonight?
