Tori Spelling has some serious financial problems that include a lawsuit involving American Express and her mom, Candy, paying her bills.
Despite being on a hit TV show for ten years and being the daughter of one of the wealthiest men in Hollywood, Spelling now finds herself having some financial difficulties. American Express has filed a lawsuit against the Beverly Hills 90210 alum for $37,981.97. According to TMZ, the actress attempted to make a payment last summer but it bounced. The credit card company is also claiming that she has not been making minimum payments and they are now seeking the full amount owed.
After the lawsuit news broke yesterday, Candy Spelling revealed that she has been financially helping out her only daughter. The Spelling matriarch had this to say on the subject: "I've been helping her out, I'm paying all of her bills now. I'm not paying extras like that. I'm not paying any back payments. Just for the house and the kids' school and the food, that's all."
Basically she will pay for the necessities for the family but that is it.
Tori Spelling has spoken out in the past about her financial troubles. Back in 2013, she touched on her money troubles in her memoir Spelling It Like It Is. In the book, she revealed that due to the cancellation of her reality show, Tori & Dean Home Sweet Hollywood, her medical issues with her fourth pregnancy and multiple house moves, she has had to cut back in her life. At that time she told People magazine that her family was repurposing. She also shared that growing up as wealthy as she did has made it is hard for her to let go of her expensive taste, even when she tries to simplify her life.
Dean McDermott's wife has yet to comment on her latest financial problems involving American Express or what her mother Candy has said in regards to helping support her daughters family financially.
