'The Flash' S02E10 'Potential Energy' Grant Gustin, Danielle Panabaker, Candice Patton Recap!

The CW network continues Season 2 of The Flash. In Episode 10, back from hiatus, will Iris West (Candice Patton) and Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) discover Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), the scarlet speedster, losing his Potential Energy?

Late for his date, Barry brings flowers to Patty (Shantel VanSanten) but the petals burst into flames. All of  a sudden, Zoom grabs Patty and throws her off the roof. Barry wakes up from the nightmare frightened.

Joe (Jesse L. Martin) gives Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) a tour of the police precinct. Wally gets scared when a crook recognizes him. Iris and Patty talk about Barry, who's being guarded around them. Cisco (Carlos Valdes) shows up to the lab when Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) knocks things down. 

Thinking of how to steal Zoom's speed, Cisco introduces the team to Turtle. The Turtle slows down everything around him. Barry thinks he has figured out the Turtle's next move. During the robbery, Turtle even manages to slow down the Flash. 

While Caitlin and Jay (Teddy Sears) work on Turtle's next location, Barry notices Joe is nervous about his dinner with Wally. Setting up their next date, Patty and Barry talk about his memories of his mother's deaths.  Wally decides not to show up at dinner, disappointing Iris. 

Barry reveals to Iris about his nightmares; which means he has to tell Patty the truth. Knowing the rare painting is Turtle's next target, Barry sets up a date with Patty. Barry wants to tell Patty until Harrison stops him. Harrison thinks he should keep her apart before Zoom takes her away.

During the ball, Harrison reveals the story of how Zoom got his name. Zoom had set up a trap and slaughtered 14 police officers, leaving one alive. The survivor described blue lightning "zooming" in on him. 

As Barry and Patty dance, he talks about trusting her with the truth. During the robbery, Turtle steals Patty's gun and shoots the chandelier. As Turtle uses his power, the Flash fights against his slowness as the chandelier falls down on Patty. The scarlet speedster takes the hit from the chandelier after he pushes her away. 

While Barry returns to Patty, Jay and Caitlin share a kiss while drinking champagne. Showing up at her door, Barry realizes she is too upset with her. Wally turns out to be a street drag racer and fast enough to win the loser's car keys. Joe confronts Wally about missing dinner, arguing  about how he pays the hospital bills for his sick mother.

Turtle shows up at Patty's apartment and takes her hostage. As Patty discovers Turtle's collection of dead bodies,the teams discovers Turtle's hiding place. After taking a beating, the Flash powers through and kicks out Turtle.  

With the Turtle in his cell, Caitlin confronts Jay about being sick. The only way to save Jay is to stop Zoom. While Joe and Wally start off eating Chinese food, Barry learns that Patty is leaving. It's time for her to move on as she kisses him goodbye.

As Harrison takes a blood sample from Turtle, the Reverse-Flash is back.
