Tyler Perry Talks Fatherhood & 'Madea' Halloween Movie in the Works

Tyler Perry plays many roles – from Madea to that of a writer, producer and director. But his new role is being a father. During an appearance on The Real, Perry opened up about fatherhood and the joy he has in having a son. And about a new Madea Halloween movie!

"All the clichés are real. He really has changed my life. He's so beautiful and strong and amazing. And he's a... healer for me, 'cause I look at him and see myself as a little boy. And I'm able to give him all the love and all the things that I never had. It's really amazing. It's amazing," the actor said.

MStars News previously learned that Perry and his longtime girlfriend, Gelila Bekele, welcomed their first son, Aman Tyler Perry, into the world on November 30, 2014.

During his interview with The Real ladies, Perry revealed that talk show host, Oprah, and legendary actress, Cicely Tyson, were little Aman's godmother's. Some advice that Oprah has given the new dad was to enjoy his life, and his son.

Perry first made it clear. "Cicely Tyson is his godmother, too, so I have to say that or she'll get me. We've got great godparents."

He then added that Oprah's best advice was "about just living in the moment. Just be present in what is going on in your life. For me, I just want to make sure that I'm enjoying it as much as I can. And that's what is so important, you have to enjoy it. If you spend your time wondering and complaining about this and why this isn't right and that isn't right, you're just wasting your time. Just celebrate where you are."

Perry and his girlfriend have remained private about their son and haven't shared any images of the one-year-old. But if you want to know what the actor's house is looking like these days, Perry did share that information via Instagram.

In the snapshot below, Perry made a collage of a beautiful mansion on top, and then a beautiful mansion covered with toys, and furniture on the bottom and revealed that he was loving the change.

Besides running around with a toddler, Perry also revealed that Madea would be returning. This Perry is working on a Halloween film. "It is hysterical. When those zombies come out of them woods and come after her, it's going to be hysterical," he hinted of his upcoming film.
