Beyonce's Father Speaks Out: Mathew Knowles Says 'It was hard for me to let go,' Speaks On Beyonce Management Break-Up

Beyoncé opened up with her fans about separating from her father as a manager in her February 2013 HBO documentary " Life Is But A Dream," and her father Mathew Knowles is finally speaking out about the split as well.

Knowles sat down exclusively with The Sun to discuss the "mutual" split for the first time.   "I've never revealed this much in an interview before, Knowles told The Sun;  "Normally I hate to talk about anything personal, but it would be a lie if I did not say it has been difficult."

The split, which Knowles described as an un-normal business split, because it was with a father and daughter, was very painful.  "It was hard for me to let her go - it was hard for both of us to let each other go. And let's be clear on that. She didn't let me go, we both let each other go. That's a big difference," Knowles told The Sun

Bey and her father dissolved their business relationship in 2011. She signed on with husband, Jay-Z's Roc Nation management team that same year.  Roc Nation also manages, Rihanna, Rita Ora, Jay Cole, and a host of other artists.
