Deepika Padukone Nervous About Her Hollywood Debut With Vin Diesel in 'XXX'

Bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone has remained tight-lipped whenever someone asked her about her Hollywood debut in XXX: The Return of Xander Cage with Vin Diesel. Now, the Piku actress has opened up for the first time about her International debut and said that she is very nervous about the film.

Padukone, who is rumored to be dating her Bajirao Mastani co-star Ranveer Singh, signed on for XXX: The Return of Xander Cage earlier this month and will start shooting for the action film in February. At a recent press event, when a reporter asked her about her Hollywood debut, the 30-year-old actress was quoted by FirstPost as responding:

"I am very excited. But I want to confess that I am very nervous. Most importantly I feel proud to be a part of a film where I get to show my ethnicity."

Padukone also said that in every film, she tries to come out of her comfort zone and wants to do something new. With her Hollywood debut, she is again stepping out of her comfort zone and as she is going to work with a new set of people which is making her very nervous.

"The reason they are roping me is because of my background. I really hope that I do well in the movie and people go and watch it," Padukone added.

This is not the first Hollywood project that has been offered to Padukone. In 2013, Padukone was offered the role in Diesel's Fast and Furious 7 but according to India Times, she turned down the offer because at that time she was busy in shooting Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela.

As earlier reported by Mstars News, in XXX: The Return of Xander Cage, Padukone will be working with international actors like Diesel, Jet Li, Tony Jaa and Ruby Rose. From recent reports by Variety, in the upcoming sequel to XXX, Padukone's character will help Cage during his latest mission.
