5 Things You Need to Know About Shahid Kapoor's Upcoming 'Rangoon'

Shahid Kapoor's movie, Rangoon, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, is still in production but the movie is already creating the media buzz. The duo has previously worked in critically acclaimed projects like, Kaminey and Haider. The makers of the much awaited film released its first poster and it has only taken our excitement to a new level. Here are 5 things to expect from the upcoming period romance film:

1. Shahid Kapoor & Saif Ali Khan Will Share the Screen:

During the shoot of Fida, Shahid fell immensely in love with his co-star, Kareena Kapoor, but according to Mid-Day, the couple separated during the filming of Jab We Met. After breaking up with Shahid, Kareena started dating Saif Ali Khan and the duo got married in 2012. Ever since then, Shahid and Saif has tried their best not to share a same platform but with Rangoon, the duo is going to work on a same project.

2. Kangana Ranaut Will Dance:

Rangoon will be a period drama in which Shahid and Saif will be seen romancing Queen actress, Kangana Ranaut. In the feature film, Kangana will be seen playing the role of Julia. It has been reported by Bollywood Mantra that, for her role as a dancer, Kangana has taken some extensive dance training from New York.

3. Shahid & Saif's Military Look:

In the upcoming film, both the lead actors, Shahid & Saif will be seen in a military look with crew cuts and thin moustaches. Based on the recent pictures uploaded by Shahid on his official Instagram handle, it looks like the actor is indeed going to bring a new look in the market.

4. Gulzaar & Vishal Will Work Together:

The film's music is being composed by the filmmaker himself and based on his earlier tracks from films like Omkara, Ishqiya and Haider, fans are expecting some great music from Rangoon. According to Indian Express, the lyrics are being penned by Academy Award winner writer, Gulzar.

5. Irrfan Khan & Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Rangoon 2:

There were earlier reports that Irrfan and Aishwarya will be seen in Rangoon but Vishal refuted the rumors by stating that they may star in Rangoon's sequel. The director was quoted by PinkVilla as stating:

"Let Rangoon happen first. I will cast them (Irrfan & Aishwarya) in Rangoon sequel."

The most awaited Bollywood romantic film is slated to release in Sept. 2016.
