Thousands tuned in to Lifetime on Saturday night for Toni Braxton's Unbreak My Heart biopic and learned a lot of things about the singer. According to ABC, Braxton said that she too learned a lot about herself, and revealed that one thing that might have caused her marriage to fail with Keri Lewis was because she was "hurting."

"When I looked at the part of my marriage, I saw that I was hurting so I lashed out at [Keri] and I didn't think about the things I did to hurt someone else," the 48-year-old said. "I saw that and I went, 'Oh my God.'"
Looking back over her life while working on the film had opened up a lot. Braxton was married to Lewis, a musician from Mint Condition, for 12 years. The couple, who divorced in 2013, have two sons: Denim, 14, and Diezel, 12.

Before the biopic aired, MStars News learned that Braxton had been dealing with Lupus, and an autistic son. Braxton claimed that her illness probably took a toll on her marriage.
"[My Lupus diagnosis] was the moment that kind of changed our relationship. I was afraid and scared and worried about my mortality. I think about my children, but it was really a tough moment for me and it was unfortunately the demise of my marriage."
The singer who was raised in a Christian home had an abortion before her boys were born and believed that God was punishing her for her decision.
"I found out my son had autism, I thought it was because I had the abortion, and I felt terrible about myself, I blamed myself...a lot of things I'm revealing in the book," she previously explained in her 2014 memoir.

As for the Lifetime film, Braxton said that she was proud of the woman that she had become and wouldn't change a thing. "I learned some things about myself. I was stronger than I thought I was. ... I'm pretty proud of myself. I can't deny it."
She added, "I wouldn't do anything over again," she told ABC News of her career. "I really wouldn't because of how I got to where I am today."
