Kris Jenner on Rob Kardashian Diabetes, 'KUWTK' Star Calls it a "Godsend"

There doesn't seem to be a day that goes by without the Kardashians being in the news, and today is no exception. It has been a pretty trying time for the famous family as the only son of the family, Rob Kardashian, was just diagnosed with diabetes. While that star has been keeping himself out of the media over the last couple of years due to his mental health and weight gain, he has re-emerged following the medical news. Yet, even with the scary news, it seems that the family is maintaining a positive attitude, including his mother Kris Jenner, who actually referred the diagnosis as a "godsend."

According to Us Weekly, the 28-year-old reality star's mother opened up about the news, and even though she knows there is a long road ahead for her son, she is staying positive.

In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, the 60-year-old star even called the diagnosis "almost a relief," despite it being "quite serious."

It seems that the reason that Jenner is so happy is that now Rob doesn't have a reason not to take the necessary steps to get in shape.

"It's one thing to say, 'Oh, I'm going to get on the healthy path,' but then you really need to get on the healthy path," his mom explained, according to Just Jared. "He's such a perfectionist. It's a big challenge for him now to turn all that around, but he can, and that's the good news. He can turn it around and be in a much healthier place."

"It was like a godsend, so it's all good," Jenner explained in the interview, mentioning that her other child, Khloe was going to help Rob out during this hardship, as they live together.

"She's an amazing girl who has so much to offer and give on so many levels, and that's why she's so good with everybody, you know, and she's focused on helping other people, especially in my family, get well," Jenner explained.
