NBC's "The Voice" went through some changes with its judging panel over the last few months, but that didn't stop the hit reality show from getting a big win in the ratings after Monday night's season 4 premiere. Last night, Shakira and Usher joined original judges Adam Levine and Blake Shelton on the newest season of "The Voice." We have the entire recap from season 4, episode 1 of "The Voice." Otherwise known as the post Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green era.

If you're not familiar with "The Voice," contestants perform during the "Blind Auditions" where the judges have their backs turned. If they like what they hear they hit the button and their chair turns around. If no judge turns around, the singer is done. If multiple judges turn around the singer then gets to hear a sales pitch from the judges before choosing which team they want to be apart of. Blake Shelton has had the winning singer in two consecutive seasons, so he apparently is really good at this.

Fans get to see a lot of the judges personality as they argue and gloat over the singers. With Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green leaving the show after season 3, Shakira and Usher moved right in. The two new judges seemed to get the hang of the show immediately making themselves comfortable.

To start off season 4, all four judges performed the Beatles "Come Together" on stage. Once they finished they went to their big red judging chairs and began listening to contestants sing for their approval. A number of singers had to go home after none of the judges turned around, but a few did impress. The first set of twin singers ever on "The Voice" got all four judges to turn around. The Morgan twins ended up choosing the reigning champion Blake Shelton's team.

A number of other contestants got multiple judges to turn around. Among them were the 21-year-old Jess Kellner from Texas, 27-year-old roofer Mark Andrew, 16-year-old Daneille Bradbery, and 21-year-old bar musician Christian Porter.

Arguably the top singer of the night was Judith Hill, who was set to duet with Michael Jackson on his "This Is It" tour before the legendary singer passed away. Hill is already the clear front runner bringing with her industry experience and some serious singing skills. She sang "What A Girl Wants" and blew away the judges. Luckily for Adam Levine he was able to get Hill for his team, the only member on his team after the first episode. Watch Hill's performance below.

As for the rest of the judges, they all nabbed at least two contestants on "The Voice's" season four premiere. Blake Shelton has Christian Porter, the Morgan Twins, and Danielle Bradbery. Shakira got two male singers on the first night with Mark Andrew and 27-year-old recovering alcoholic Kris Thomas. Usher so far has Jess Kellner and the 19-year-old Vedo.

There is some good news for NBC and "The Voice." The two hour season 4 premiere reportedly did an average 4.7 rating among adults 18-49 and totaled 13.4 million viewers. This is a half point better than "The Voice's" fall season.

Season 4's second episode is tonight (Tuesday, March 26) at 8pm with the second night of "Blind Auditions." Tune in and check back with Mstarz tomorrow for a full recap.
