'RHOBH' Star Kim Richards' Ex, Monty Brinson, Father of Daughter Brooke, Dies of Cancer

Sad news for Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills mom Kim Richards and family since ex-husband and best-friend, Monty Brinson has died of cancer, according to People magazine and Richards is devastated says a source. Kim has battled sobriety in the past and it seems loved ones are concerned for her well-being at this time.

The couple's 29 year-old-daughter Brooke Brinson Wierderhorn married Fat Burger heir, Thayer Wierderhorn almost 2-years ago in August at Kathy Hilton's home; so that Brinson could walk his daughter down the aisle. She celebrated a second wedding in Mexico.

Eonline previously reported on his Instagram post regarding Brooke's second wedding, "My prayers have been answered with my daughter having her dream wedding what more could a father ask for... I love you Brooke. Now have a beautiful wedding and just know I'm right there with you."

Love and condolences has been pouring in from fans and loved ones. Real Estate tycoon and brother-in-law Rick Hilton has confirmed, "We have lost Monty Brinson after a brave battle of cancer," reported HollywoodLife. "His heart was as big as the moon and he was loved by all he met. He will be sorely missed. I love YOU always."

The Beverly Hills mom and Monty, a supermarket heir and professional poker player married in the 80's for a few years, but remained close friends while co-parenting. The pair lived together and in November, even celebrated his 58th birthday together.

Despite the odds and though it seems to have been a trying year for the two of them, they remained optimistic. Kim wrote, "Star light, star bright, first Star I see Every night," she captioned a cute Instagram photo of the pair. "Always know your in My heart. I love you so much. We have come so far , let's keep it going. I'm right by your side forever! I wish for you happiness, courage, peace, laughter, love, strength and Every [sic] you've EVER DREAMED OF!!!"
