The Montreal Canadiens vs. the Pittsburgh Penguins battle it out on the ice at the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, PA on Monday, March 26 at 7:00 p.m. ET. Read on to see where fans can watch and listen to a live stream of the Monday evening hockey game online and catch up-to-date feeds and coverage on highlight plays and scores.
The Canadiens head into Monday night's game as the no 1 team in the NHL Eastern Northeast Conference. Montreal snags the overall no 5 spot in the division, with a 20-6-5 record. According to Bleacher Report sports columnist Tom Schreier, "Here is the scary thing for Habs fans: This club really hasn't faced anyone this month. They started March off with games against Pittsburgh and Boston, but then faced the Islanders (twice), Carolina, Tampa, Florida, Ottawa and New Jersey. Some of those are playoff teams, some are not, but none are really cream of the crop out East so it's hard to really tell where this team is at right now. Those dual losses to Buffalo are a reminder of that.
The Penguins snag the no 1 spot in the NHL Eastern Atlantic Conference, and the no 1 overall spot with a 25-8-0 record (out of 30 teams). As Schreier simply puts it, "The Penguins haven't lost all month AND added Brenden Morrow? That's almost not fair."
Tonight's battle on the ice should prove a fierce one between two of the NHL's best teams.
The game will be broadcasted live on local channels RDS, TSN-HABS, and ROOT, but fans can also listen in on the radio at 105.9 The X, 970 ESPN, TSN Radio, and 98,5 FM.
