As Star Wars: The Force Awakens keeps making money all over the world as of the most successful films in recorded box office history, actor Mark Hamill has given his two cents about the sexuality of his most famous character, Luke Skywalker. Taking to Twitter, the actor has hinted the powerful Jedi might be gay or bi, which could destroy a popular theory about Daisy Ridley's character, Rey.
According to The Huffington Post, a fan recently asked Hamill about the character's sexuality (specifically, if Luke is bisexual) and the actor basically told him it was anybody's guess what the Jedi's preferences are.
"His sexuality is never directly addressed in the films. Luke is whatever the audience wants him to be, so you can decide for yourself," Hamill told Twitter user @kynoren recently.

Of course, this interpretation could lead to an interesting difference with a popular theory about Episode 7's lead character, Rey.
WARNING: SPOILERS BELOW
In the 2015 blockbuster, it is revealed that Rey has been abandoned in a distant desert planet, much like Luke had been left in Tatooine soon after being born. While nothing is noted directly, it is heavily hinted that Rey could be Luke's daughter, and the possibility of the character being gay or bisexual could give that theory a bit of a spin.
As Movie Pilot points out, if the options are still open when it comes to Luke's sexuality in Episode 8, it might plainly mean that there's no confirmation that Rey is in fact his daughter at all.
As Movie News Guide reports, there have been different theories about Force Awakens characters' sexualities. The most popular theory revolves around rebel pilot Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) and stormtrooper gone good Finn (John Boyega), who seemed to instantaneously click in the film, prompting memes of bromance or homosexuality.
